Chocolate brownie roll-out cookies decorated with fondant

Sorry for the mess. I was in a rush. I made the dough for these cookies a while ago and froze half the batch. I love doing that because then you always have dessert ready to go on short notice.

Chocolate cupcakes with caramel frosting and chocolate drizzle

It has become an annual tradition for Sam's parents to host an AFL football grand final party.

Sam's parents organise the meat and each guest is assigned food to bring for lunch. I am pretty predictable and volunteered to bring dessert.

Birthday cupcakes for Colin

My uncle and aunty visited us in June from New Zealand. I hadn't seen them since last August and they had yet to meet Annabelle, so it was great seeing them. Their visit also coincided with Colin's birthday, so of course I had to do some baking.

Sprinkles cake for Katie

Chocolate ganache

I use chocolate ganache a lot in my baking. I use it to fill cupcakes and cookies, put in between layers of a cake, to cover a cake before applying fondant, or as a base for my chocolate frosting. I normally double the amount and freeze the left overs for my next baking project.
